My Mother is successful, I’m still working!
Well, Success can be easily measured in terms of what you planned to achieve and what you achieved.
Coming from an extreme modest background, (when I say modest, I mean just above poor that I never slept unfed and unclothed) I could never become what I am today, if my mom had given up!
- Mom fought for my future
- We didn’t even have proper bed to sleep on.
- I was home schooled and my mother created the entire foundation of education I have.
- I didn’t get formal education before 7th std.
- She lived for 30 years without any furniture except a makeshift bed, no cable TV, no luxury
- She didn’t have a car or any other vehicle for commute.
- My father earned but lost almost 90% of it(just didn’t care for us) but didn’t take any initiative or ownership for our well being or progress or even necessities. He just lived on bare minimums. He didn’t have any dream. Neither of his own or for us.
- My mom had a dream. Despite being a secluded her whole life, She went to a school where I got selected to get me admission, which later proved to be turning point and changed my life. My father didn’t care even then.
- My mom accompanied me to my college and helped me get admission 500 kms away. She never had travelled on her own even 50kms.
- She never left me, taught me to dream and work hard to get it.
Now I am at a place in my life which my mother dreamed of. Career, Life all of it.
That’s why I believe –
I am still working on my aspirations.
I am still working hard to get what I want.
I am still trying to achieve what I planned.
